Shipping & Returns

Overview

Timely shipping of all orders is a priority at Phantom Defense. Shipments are only sent out during business days (Monday-Friday) excluding holidays, and we strive to ship same day for orders placed before 2:00 p.m. MST. During times of high demand or sales, shipping times may be delayed due to the volume of shipments being processed. 

Return Policy

Due to regulations and safety concerns, we cannot accept returns on ammunition.

All sales are final and made without explicit or implied warranty of merchantability or otherwise. Returns are not accepted under any circumstances other than in the case of defective merchandise. Any defective merchandise shall be returned to us and will be subject to manufacturer approval. In the case of defective merchandise, it is your responsibility to contact Phantom Defense and arrange for the merchandise to be returned. Upon receipt, the merchandise will be evaluated and tested for defects. If the merchandise is, in fact, defective, it will be replaced with the identical undamaged product or products and the shipping will be reimbursed.

Damages

Any damage must be reported to Phantom Defense within seven days of receipt. If the damage is not reported within the seven day period, the report will be void.

In the rare event that your package is damaged, a claim will be filed with UPS and a refund or replacement will be issued once the claim investigation has concluded.

Modifications & Cancellations

Orders that have not been shipped may be cancelled. A refund will be issued, minus a 6% re-stocking fee. If an order has already been shipped, the order cannot be cancelled.

We reserve the right to cancel any order when the Terms and Conditions have not been complied with. In the event that an order is cancelled, a refund will be issued, minus a 6% re-stocking fee.

General Shipping Information

All orders must be sent to a physical address. In accordance with the Federal Law, ammunition cannot be sent to a P.O. Box.

Inventory is kept as up-to-date and as accurate as possible. If an ordered item is oversold and out of stock, a notification will be sent out immediately to remedy the problem.

Please read all restrictions. Shipping to restricted areas is not permitted without valid credentials on file. The purchaser is responsible for knowing his or her own local/state laws before the purchase. It is the purchaser's responsibility to comply with all Local, State, and Federal Laws.

It is unlawful to export without an import license from the country of destination or a proper export license from the U.S. Department of State.

Any orders placed without the providing the essential documentation will be cancelled within 7 days of the customer being contacted.

All canceled orders will be subject to a 6% fee.

Age Restrictions

Federal law (18 USC 922(b)(1), 27 CFR 478. 99(b)) requires that you must be 21 years or older to purchase handgun ammunition and 18 years or older to purchase rifle ammunition.

Shipping Restrictions

We do not ship outside the United States or to any area within the United States where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.

  • A copy of the license for a Licensed Ammunition Vendor or FFL must be uploaded during purchase or submitted by e-mail or fax and match the ship to address.  Instruction for Connecticut Ammunition Sales

  • Connecticut state issued ID (showing photo, address, and DOB) and one of the below permits must be uploaded during purchase or submitted by e-mail or fax. Both must be current, valid, and completely legible. (For faxed copies, please lighten the image. If the image is not lightened, the background is black and the text is unreadable.)
    • Valid ammunition certificate
    • Valid permit to carry a pistol or revolver
    • Valid long gun eligibility certificate
    • Valid eligibility certificate for a pistol or revolver
    • Valid permit to sell a pistol or revolver at retail

  Instruction for Illinois Ammunition Sales

  • FOID card and state photo ID must be submitted during purchase or by e-mail or fax. Both must be current, valid, and completely legible. (For faxed copies, please lighten the image. If the image is not lightened, the background is black and the text is unreadable.)
  • If this information has been sent in advance, please note “Required IL documents on file” in the “Order Notes” section of the order.

 Instruction for Massachusetts Ammunition Sales

  • Massachusetts Firearms ID or License to Carry must be uploaded during purchase or submitted by e-mail or fax. ID must be current, valid, and completely legible. (For faxed copies, please lighten the image. If the image is not lightened, the background is black and the text is unreadable.)
  • If this information has been sent previously, please note “Required MA documents on file” in the “Order Notes” section of the order.

  • New Jersey Firearms ID (front side only) and state photo ID must be uploaded during purchase or submitted by e-mail or fax. Both must be current, valid, and completely legible.   Instruction for New York Ammunition Sales
